What do we know about Netflix’s Beef Season 2?
The show returns with a twist, as it will now be led by an entirely new all-star cast, including Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac and Academy Award nominee Carey Mulligan. Despite no longer starring in Season 2, Yeun and Ali Wong have remained part of the series as executive producers. The new installment also stars Charles Melton (May December) as Austin Davis, Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) as Ashley Miller, Youn Yuh-jung (Minari, Pachinko) as Chairwoman Park, and Song Kang-ho (Parasite) as Dr. Kim, William Fichtner (Contact) as Troy, Mikaela Hoover (Superman) as Ava, and K-Pop star BM as Woosh.
“In Season 2, a Gen-Z couple witnesses an alarming fight between their Millennial boss and his wife. Newly-engaged Ashley Miller and Austin Davis, both lower-level staff at a country club, become entangled in the unraveling marriage of their General Manager, Joshua Martín, and his wife, Lindsay Crane-Martín. Through favors and coercion, both couples vie for the approval of the elitist club’s billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park, who struggles to manage her own scandal involving her second husband, Doctor Kim,” reads the show’s newest logline.
The series is created and executive-produced by Lee Sung Jin, who is also serving as the showrunner. Jake Schreier, Kitao Sakurai, Ethan Kuperberg, Anna Ouyang Moench, Mulligan, Isaac, Melton, and Spaeny are also serving as executive producers. It is a production by A2.
