CBS is doubling down on its Monday night lineup by bringing back a familiar voice in the true crime space. Harlan Coben’s Final Twist gets renewed for Season 2
Audiences who tuned in for the debut run earlier this year will find the show in a new prime-time home come fall. CBS is shifting Harlan Coben‘s Final Twist to Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET, slotting it directly after new episodes of the dramas FBI and CIA. It is a scheduling change as it moved from its original Tuesday slot, where it aired five episodes between January 7 and February 3.
The series features the celebrated novelist Harlan Coben guiding viewers through complex, real-life mysteries. The official description maintains that Coben will navigate audiences through gripping tales of murder. “In each one-hour episode, Harlan will guide audiences through gripping tales of murder, high-profile crimes and life-altering surprises, each meticulously unraveled to reveal hidden truths, deceptions and lies. With exclusive interviews and never-before-seen archival materials, the series will provide an in-depth look at stories where nothing is as it seems.”
Furthermore, the production team behind Harlan Coben’s Final Twist Season 2 remains firmly in place. Coben is going to executive produce alongside his son, Ben Coben, through Final Twist Productions. Jeff Zimbalist returns as showrunner and executive producer for All Rise Films, while Stu Schreiberg handles executive producing duties for Triage Entertainment. The project also sees continued oversight from Susan Zirinsky and Terence Wrong of See It Now Studios, with Jess Philipps also as executive producer.
Moreover, Harlan Coben’s Final Twist renewed announcement came as part of a broader slate of moves at the network. Alongside this renewal, CBS greenlit a new installment in the NCIS franchise and Beyond the Gates (via Variety).
