One of Fox‘s long-running TV shows has finally returned with an exciting all-new season, five months after wrapping up its last installment. Beginning today, Hulu subscribers can now watch the first episode of Gordon Ramsay‘s MasterChef Season 16.
What do we know about MasterChef Season 16?
Following last season’s Dynamic Duos theme, the newest installment is now called MasterChef: Global Gauntlet, which takes the show to a new global stage. In the new season, the best home cooks in the U.S.A will represent four territories across the globe, including Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Joining Ramsay in the judging panel are all-star chefs Joe Bastianich and Tiffany Derry. The participating novice cooks will compete for the $250,000 grand prize.
MasterChef is executive-produced by Ramsay through his One Potato Two Potato production banner. It was based on the original British show created by Franc Roddam during the early 1990s. Due to the competition series’ success, it has been adapted in multiple countries. Throughout the years, it has also spawned different spin-offs such as Junior MasterChef and Celebrity MasterChef.
Season 15 concluded its 18-episode run last September 2025, where long-time couple Jessica Bosworth and Jesse Rosenwald became the show’s first duo winners. It was Fox’s most-watched summer series of 2025, garnering an average of 3.5 million total multiplatform viewers. Besides Season 15 and 16, celebrity chef Tiffany Derry is also set to return for Season 17, along with Ramsay and restaurateur Joe Bastianich.
New episodes drop every Wednesday, and will stream the next day on Hulu.
