A woman’s story about how she finally found love “in the wild,” and it being different to how she expected, has resonated with viewers online.

A viral TikTok video by creator @samcity_, shared how she met her boyfriend in real life, despite having used dating apps in the past. “Despite me being in the best relationship I’ve ever been in my life, I wasn’t actually very sure about my boyfriend after our first date,” @samcity_ told her followers.

Reflecting on her dating history, she said that the majority of her first dates since university had been through dating apps. However, this method often left her disappointed, as she constantly sought an immediate romantic connection that rarely materialized.

“When I was going through dating app dating, I was rarely going on a second date because I was looking for an instant romantic connection after the first date,” the poster added.
