The Italian soccer league has been rocked by the dismantling of a high-end prostitution ring that had been operating since 2019, involving approximately 50 Serie A players.
These athletes reportedly paid a total of €200,000 for paid services organized in private clubs or hotels, even during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The investigation also reveals recreational use of laughing gas (nitrous oxide) during these clandestine parties.
The organization, which managed about 100 young women, took a 50% commission on each encounter.
To date, four alleged ringleaders have been arrested by Italian authorities. The case took a dramatic turn with the report of a pregnancy among the exploited young women, highlighting the dark side of these parties favored by soccer stars.
Regarding the identities of the participants, Italian authorities have not yet released any official names, whether of Italian, European, or African players.
Although the Italian press has mentioned players from several major clubs, the secrecy of the investigation still protects the exhaustive list of clients involved in this vast prostitution ring.
