Nutritionists Reveal 5 Foods That Should Not Be Consumed During Breakfast

JAKARTA – Breakfast is often referred to as the most important meal time in a day. But not all breakfast options provide maximum benefits for the body. Some foods can actually cause a jump in blood sugar, a faster hunger, to increase the risk of disease if consumed continuously.

“I never said ‘not at all’ when talking about food choices,” said Christian nutritionist Smith, MS, RD, LD, spokesman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietics, quoted from the Real Simple page.

“All types of food can be included in a balanced diet,” he added.

These foods can still be consumed occasionally. If you eat them every day, maybe you should start considering other options that are more nutritious but still delicious. Here are 5 breakfasts that should not be consumed at breakfast according to nutritionist based in the United States Kristen Smith.

1. Yogurt Rasa (Flavored Yogurt)

Yogurt is known as a healthy probiotic-rich food. However, not all yogurts are created the same. Nutritionists recommend avoiding yogurt that has been flavored and sold widely on the market.

“Many taste yogurts contain an additional high amount of sugar, sometimes the equivalent of candy stems,” said Caroline banyak, RD/LD, spokesman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietics.

“This can cause a spike and decrease in blood sugar levels rapidly. This makes you quickly hungry again,” he continued.

You can consume high protein yogurt. In addition, you can add fresh fruit, nuts, or a little honey for a natural sweet taste.

2. Smoothie and Jus Packaging

Smoothie and packaging juice are practical breakfast options for people who have busy activities. But this comfort is not always in line with the nutritional value. Smoothie and packaging juice are not suitable for breakfast because there is no fiber.

“A lot of smoothies and packaged juices are low in fiber and high in sugar, which causes fast energy to rise and then drop,”principela explained.

“Even though it is made of fruit, drinking juice without fiber does not provide the same benefits as consuming whole fruit,” he continued.

The best choice of breakfast is that you can make your own smoothie quickly and practically. Mix whole fruit, green vegetables, protein (such as yogurt or protein powder), as well as healthy fat (soybeans or hemp seeds) in a blend for healthy breakfast that can be brought along.

3. Sweet Donates and Cakes

Not surprising sugar-coated donuts or chocolate chipsants are not a healthy breakfast option.

“The choice of sweet breakfast such as donuts is generally low in protein and fiber, even though these two components are important so that you are full longer,” said Smith.

If you find it difficult for once in a while to refuse donuts or pasties withrudes, try to balance it with the source of the protein.

“Pix with protein-rich foods like eggs or chicken sausages,” Smith suggested.

4.Granola and Granola Bar Packaging

Maybe you are surprised to see granola on the list of unhealthy breakfast foods, because it contains whole grains, nuts, and other healthy ingredients. But, you have to carefully read the label before buying.

“Many granola brands use additional sugar and unhealthy fats in large quantities, so they are more like sweet snacks than breakfast,” said waryan.

Therefore, pay attention to labels and choose granola with a little extra sugar, or make your own granola. lebih juga menyarankan mengganti granola dengan sarapan tinggi protein dan sebut seperti oatmeal yang ditambahkan buang dan buah berry.

5. Processed Meat

Processed meat such as sausages and sausages does feel practical to increase protein intake in the morning. However, the content of salt and saturated fat can have a negative impact on health.

Even though it makes you feel full, nicity is not the best choice. This shows that there is a connection between saturated fat, sodium, and heart disease and inflammation as an excuse to avoid it.

For healthier fruit breakfast, lebih suggested fat-free protein such as eggs or turkey sausages, combined with vegetables as a better choice.
