DISTRICT IS MAKING BIG CHANGES TO ITS CELL PHONE POLICY THIS SCHOOL YEAR. DALLAS CENTER-GRIMES HIGH SCHOOL IS BANNING CELL PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES DURING CLASS. STUDENTS WILL STILL BE ALLOWED TO USE THEIR CELL PHONES IN BETWEEN CLASSES AND DURING STUDY HALLS, AND AT LUNCH. Another Iowa high school bans cellphones in class

Another school district is making major changes to its cellphone policy this school year.Dallas Center-Grimes High School is banning cellphones and other electronic devices during class. Students will still be able to use their cellphones between classes, during study halls and lunch. They can also still wear smartwatches, but can only use them to check the time or count their steps.Several school districts across the metro area have already announced stricter cellphone policies or have said they are considering the issue. Another school district is making major changes to its cellphone policy this school year.

Dallas Center-Grimes High School is banning cellphones and other electronic devices during class.

Students will still be able to use their cellphones between classes, during study halls and lunch. They can also still wear smartwatches, but can only use them to check the time or count their steps.

Several school districts across the metro area have already announced stricter cellphone policies or have said they are considering the issue. Read more here:
