Lovable Michigan Travel Deals: Mother’s Day specials, golf getaways

We’re seeing some fun travel deals being flashed this week. And they seem equally split between outdoor fun and indoor pampering.

Treetops Resort near Gaylord, home to five championship golf courses and a pretty sweet après golf scene, is rolling out a stay-and-play deal for golfers. The deal can be booked months ahead, but the deadline for booking is April 12. (See all the details below) So golfers will want to jump on this one early.

And the Mother’s Day deals are already rolling in. Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, just north of Traverse City, is offering a trifecta of savings at their spa, their Aerie restaurant known for its panoramic views, and free golf for women.

Lastly, if you are ready for a grown-up play date with wine on the side, the deals don’t get better than all the offerings during the Traverse City Uncorked special in May. We’ve got a sneak peek of those for you below.

Master’s Madness golf deal at Treetops Resort near Gaylord

What you get: For $199 per person, you can stay one night at Treetops Resort and enjoy two rounds of golf with a cart on any of Treetops’ award-winning courses. Breakfast is included. This deal is based on double occupancy. It can be used Sunday through Thursday during the 2024 golf season.

Forget the one-day deals. Mother’s Day specials are going on for weeks at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa just north of Traverse City.

“Mother’s Day specials are available at Spa Grand Traverse from April 15 – May 31,” resort staff said. “The Ultimate Mother’s Day Retreat includes our spring renewal massage, herbal citrus body scrub, spring clean facial, and whipped honey manicure and pedicure. Spend the day with mom when you book our Mother & Daughter Spa Retreat package. Each guest will receive a spring renewal massage and whipped honey pedicure.”

Other Mother’s Day specials being offered at Grand Traverse Resort:

Mother’s Day Brunch at the resort’s sky-high Aerie Restaurant. Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu includes an omelet station, fruit display, homemade soup, avocado toast, ambrosia salad, pesto chicken, seared cod, Bolognese pappardelle, gluten free options, and assorted pastries and homemade desserts.
