Lo Chung-mau heads to Foshan


Secretary for Health Prof Lo Chung-mau will lead a delegation to Foshan today to attend the fifth Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Conference on Inheritance, Innovation & Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

 

He will discuss Hong Kong’s role in the construction of a Chinese Medicine Highlands in the bay area, as well as other avenues for co-operation in the sector.

 

The conference is co-organised by the Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Bureau, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s Health Bureau, the Macao Special Administrative Region Government’s Health Bureau and the People’s Government of Foshan Municipality.

 

Prof Lo will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony tomorrow morning.

 

In the afternoon, he will attend a seminar on the co-operation mechanism for constructing the Chinese Medicine Highlands, before returning to Hong Kong at night.

 

During Prof Lo’s absence, Under Secretary for Health Dr Libby Lee will be Acting Secretary.
