Korean Reality Show The Influencer Release Date Revealed on Netflix

Korean reality show The Influencer is set to premiere in August 2024 on Netflix. It is a survival show consisting of 77 influencers in South Korea competing to prove their power on social media. The contestants are given the opportunity to become a viral sensation and bag the title of the “best influencer.”

TikToker Xiajiu, who has over 27.5 million followers, participates in the reality show. Some of his co-contestants include Jang Geun-Seok, Risabae, Pani Bottle, Jin Yong-Jin, Shim Euddeum, and Daedo Library. In a recently released trailer, their expressions tease the intensity of the upcoming show.

Korean reality show The Influencer: When is the release date? 

The new Korean reality show, The Influencer, will air on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, on Netflix. However, the streamer has not yet revealed the number of episodes.

Meanwhile, the official synopsis reads, “The 77 participants boast a combined total of 120 million followers across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and AfreecaTV. From first-generation famous creators to Gen Z TikTokers with solid global fanbases, these influencers will face various challenges to earn the coveted title of ‘the best influencer.’”

Korean reality show The Influencer: What is it about?

The upcoming unscripted reality series, The Influencer, is about 77 social media influencers competing to become the greatest influencers. Producer Lee Jae-Seok has created the show.

Speaking about the concept, Jae-Seok said, “I thought it would be interesting to gather influencers, divided by algorithms, in one place. You’ll see the top influencers in Korea and experience unique entertainment through the large scale and visuals that only Netflix can deliver, along with never-before-seen social survival missions.”

Previously, the streaming platform has featured several survival Korean reality shows, including Physical: 100, Siren: Survive the Island, Zombieverse, and The Devil’s Plan. Will The Influencer also impress fans? Find out in August 2024 exclusively on Netflix.
