International vivo V29e debuts with significant changes

vivo launched the V29e in August in India with the Snapdragon 695 SoC and 64MP camera. Now, the brand has launched a new version for the international markets with some changes in design and specs.

For starters, the international vivo V29e packs a smaller AMOLED screen (6.67″ vs. 6.78″) with lower peak brightness (1,150 nits vs. 1,300 nits). It also doesn’t support 1 billion colors and HDR10+ but has a 120Hz refresh rate and a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication.

Another significant difference is in the battery department. The Indian vivo V29e has a 5,000 mAh battery, while the global model packs a 4,800 mAh cell. However, both have the same wired charging speed – 44W.

There are some differences in the cameras as well. Both versions feature three cameras – 64MP primary (with OIS), 8MP ultrawide, and 50MP selfie. But, the aperture of the primary and selfie shooters is different. And so is the flash – the international V29e sports the circular Smart Aura Light flash.

The international vivo V29e also doesn’t have a microSD card slot but comes with an IP54 rating. Besides, the Kryo 660 Silver core in its Snapdragon 695 chip is clocked a tad higher (1.8 GHz vs. 1.7 GHz). The international V29e is also 0.1mm thicker and 9g heavier than its Indian counterpart.

In Bangladesh, the vivo V29e comes in 8GB/256GB configuration and is available in gold and black colors through vivo’s Bangladeshi website for BDT36,999 ($340/€315/INR28,090).
