IDA和東亞銀行聯同一間本地支付網絡,將共同探索一個可以簡化支付流程並提升用戶體驗的應用案例。

在這項試驗中,東亞銀行將作為儲備銀行和授權鑄幣商,以確保遵循監管框架,同時促進金融科技創新。此次合作旨在探索將穩定幣融入支付與結算基礎建設,以推動本地經濟並改善商業現金流。

IDA聯合始創人兼首席執行官諸承譽表示,與東亞銀行的合作是為香港創建包容和充滿活力的數字金融生態系統的願景邁出的重要一步。透過探索不同的應用案例,讓每個香港人都能受益。

IDA 希望透過這次試驗,引入穩定幣實現即時交易,提升商家的現金流,並以最低交易費,提供24/7服務。這旨在使本地企業更高效運營,推動更多經濟活動,以促進香港經濟的增長。

東亞銀行集團資訊總監、總經理兼科技及生產力促進處主管梁兆恩表示,這項試驗計劃有助加強香港作為全球金融樞紐的競爭優勢,東亞樂於參與。這次合作亦體現了東亞的承諾,在遵循監管框架的前提下,積極推動金融科技的創新。
