HK Express launches Intermodal Pass for seamless travel between Hong Kong and Zhuhai

31st October 2024 – (Hong Kong) HK Express Airways (HK Express) has announced an upgrade to its travel services with the launch of the “HK Express Intermodal Pass.” This new initiative, developed in collaboration with Chu Kong Passenger Transport Company Limited (CKS) and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Shuttle Bus, aims to simplify travel between Zhuhai and Hong Kong.

Passengers can now conveniently purchase both ferry and flight tickets in a single transaction, facilitating a streamlined journey from Zhuhai Port to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Once at the airport, travellers can easily access HK Express flights to major Asian cities.

The upgraded service includes an upstream check-in option, allowing passengers to obtain their boarding passes at Zhuhai Port and check their luggage through to their final destination. This process eliminates the need for additional immigration and customs procedures, ensuring a smooth arrival at the airport terminal for boarding.

With the HK Express Intermodal Pass, travellers benefit from several conveniences. Checked luggage is exempt from additional fees for ferry or shuttle transfers, and passengers are not subject to the Hong Kong Air Passenger Departure Tax. In the event of missed connections, automatic rebooking on the next available service is guaranteed.

The HKIA SkyPier Terminal to HZMB Zhuhai Port connection operates 12 shuttles daily from Hong Kong to Zhuhai and 10 shuttles from Zhuhai to Hong Kong, with service hours from 09:00 to 20:00 and 10:00 to 19:00, respectively.

This upgraded service enhances connectivity across the Greater Bay Area (GBA), linking five major cities: Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, and Dongguan. HK Express is committed to providing seamless cross-border travel experiences and establishing Hong Kong International Airport as a key transit hub in the region.
