China Health Technology Group Holding’s (HKG:1069) Performance Raises Some Questions

We didn’t see China Health Technology Group Holding Company Limited’s (HKG:1069) stock surge when it reported robust earnings recently. We looked deeper into the numbers and found that shareholders might be concerned with some underlying weaknesses.

SEHK:1069 Earnings and Revenue History April 8th 2026

One essential aspect of assessing earnings quality is to look at how much a company is diluting shareholders. In fact, China Health Technology Group Holding increased the number of shares on issue by 20% over the last twelve months by issuing new shares. As a result, its net income is now split between a greater number of shares. To talk about net income, without noticing earnings per share, is to be distracted by the big numbers while ignoring the smaller numbers that talk to per share value. You can see a chart of China Health Technology Group Holding’s EPS by clicking here.

A Look At The Impact Of China Health Technology Group Holding’s Dilution On Its Earnings Per Share (EPS)

Three years ago, China Health Technology Group Holding lost money. The good news is that profit was up 544% in the last twelve months. On the other hand, earnings per share are only up 421% over the same period. So you can see that the dilution has had a bit of an impact on shareholders.

In the long term, earnings per share growth should beget share price growth. So China Health Technology Group Holding shareholders will want to see that EPS figure continue to increase. However, if its profit increases while its earnings per share stay flat (or even fall) then shareholders might not see much benefit. For the ordinary retail shareholder, EPS is a great measure to check your hypothetical “share” of the company’s profit.

How Do Unusual Items Influence Profit?

Finally, we should also consider the fact that unusual items boosted China Health Technology Group Holding’s net profit by CNÂ¥32m over the last year. While we like to see profit increases, we tend to be a little more cautious when unusual items have made a big contribution. When we analysed the vast majority of listed companies worldwide, we found that significant unusual items are often not repeated. And that’s as you’d expect, given these boosts are described as ‘unusual’. China Health Technology Group Holding had a rather significant contribution from unusual items relative to its profit to December 2025. As a result, we can surmise that the unusual items are making its statutory profit significantly stronger than it would otherwise be.

Our Take On China Health Technology Group Holding’s Profit Performance

In its last report China Health Technology Group Holding benefitted from unusual items which boosted its profit, which could make the profit seem better than it really is on a sustainable basis. And furthermore, it went and issued plenty of new shares, ensuring that each shareholder (who did not tip more money in) now owns a smaller proportion of the company. Considering all this we’d argue China Health Technology Group Holding’s profits probably give an overly generous impression of its sustainable level of profitability. With this in mind, we wouldn’t consider investing in a stock unless we had a thorough understanding of the risks. For example, we’ve found that China Health Technology Group Holding has 4 warning signs (1 is a bit concerning!) that deserve your attention before going any further with your analysis.

In this article we’ve looked at a number of factors that can impair the utility of profit numbers, and we’ve come away cautious.
