Taking to the streets of London to pursue PBs or raise money for charity isn’t just the pastime of the non-famous – the celebrities love to do it, too.
Below is the current list of famous faces who are down to run the 2026 London Marathon, along with any previous best running times.
Celebrities returning to the London Marathon
Cynthia Erivo ran the 2022 London Marathon in 3:35:36 – and in a recent interview with Runner’s World, she says that she now has her eyes firmly set on a new PB of 3:15. She’s also raising money for The King’s Trust and Shameless Fund.

Harry Judd, who is no stranger to the marathon, is running the race again. His PB is 3:10:38 and seeing that he recently run a sub-20 5K PB, training must be going well.
Daddy Pig (yes, the cartoon character) is running the London Marathon this year to raise money for the National Deaf Children’s Society. Although his previous PB is unknown, he was once chased by a wasp and ran quite far. He was also on this special RW cover!
Sir Ben Ainslie recently spoke to us about his training ahead of the 2026 London Marathon, which will be his marathon debut. The most successful sailor in Olympic history has been putting in the hard work (as you’d expected!) and he’s running for the 1851 Trust.
Tim Minchin made his marathon debut at the 2025 Melbourne Marathon and ran a blistering time of 3:28:31. The comedian, musician and actor is running London to raise money for the National Autistic Society.
Aimee Fuller, Olympian and TV presenter, ran the London Marathon in 2024 and clocked an impressive time of 3:48:04. She’s back this year and only recently ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon with her mum.
Sir Alastair Cook ran the 2025 London Marathon in a time of 3:16:42. He did the event to raise money for the Ruth Strauss Foundation, which is the same charity that he’s raising money for this year, too.
Alexandra Burke is returning to the London Marathon to chase a sub-4 finish time, all while raising money for Parkinson’s UK. She ran it for the first time last year in a time of 6:29:18.
John Robins, the comedian, is running and raising money for Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse.
Joe Wicks is back at the London Marathon and running with Daddy Pig. He most recently ran the 2025 London Marathon in 5:54:59.
Bryony Gordon is taking to the streets of London once again in just her underwear (and for a very good reason) – plus, she’s raising money for the Bowelbabe Fund and Cancer Research UK. Her previous best time at London is 5:53:25.
Celebrities running the London Marathon for the first time
Nikita Kuzmin, who spoke to RW about his training, is taking on 26.2 miles and aiming for a sub-3:30 finish time. The professional dancer and Strictly star is raising money for Diabetes UK.
Tony Adams, Arsenal and England footballing royalty, is set to run the race to raise money for The Forward Trust.
Dame Laura Kenny, an Olympic legend on the bike, will make her London Marathon debut while fundraising for The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.
Sebastian Vettel saw retiring from F1 as the perfect opportunity to sign up for a marathon. He’s taking on London to raise money for the Brain & Spine Foundation and Grand Prix Trust.
Sir Anthony ‘AP’ McCoy is running the marathon for the first time to raise money for the Matt Hampson Foundation, which is a charity that supports fellow jockey Graham Lee, who suffered a spinal injury following a fall while racing.
