Almost 20 years after she first graced the screen in The Devil Wears Prada, Meryl Streep’s terrifyingly chic fashion editor Miranda Priestly remains as well-connected as ever.
This time around, her orbit feels even more expansive—and much closer to the real fashion industry that inspired the original film. While the 2006 movie famously blurred the line between fiction and reality, The Devil Wears Prada 2 leans all the way in, stacking its world with recognizable faces from the worlds of style, music, and pop culture.
The sequel’s front row is, fittingly, packed: Naomi Campbell, Ciara, Lady Gaga, Ashley Graham, Amelia Gray, Heidi Klum, and Law Roach are among the many high-profile figures who make cameos in the film, adding an extra layer of authenticity—and spectacle—to Miranda’s universe. Some appear in party vignettes or runway sequences, while others earn scenes all to themselves. Either way, their appearances don’t merely function as fun blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Easter eggs; they reinforce how much the industry has evolved since Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) first stepped into the Runway offices in her cerulean blue sweater.
If the first film offered a glossy outsider’s perspective on fashion, the sequel feels more like stepping directly into it. The presence of real-world icons mirrors the current media landscape, where editors, models, and celebrities exist in constant overlap.
