Inter Milan win Coppa Italia final, securing the Italian domestic double and their 10th title since Jose Mourinho’s double in 2010

Inter Milan completed a first domestic double in 16 years with a 2-0 win against Lazio in the Coppa Italia final.

Cristian Chivu’s side wrapped up their 21st league title earlier this month with three games to spare.

An Adam Marusic own goal and a Lautaro Martinez shot helped seal a 10th Coppa Italia at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday.

Their last double came as part of Jose Mourinho’s treble in 2010, a squad that Chivu was part of.

“Winning the league and cup is never something you can take for granted. We’re very happy.” said Chivu, who is in his first season in charge at the San Siro.

Both goals came in the first half with Marusic misjudging a corner and heading into his own net on 14 minutes.

Martinez then scored his 22nd goal of the season, tapping in Marcus Thuram’s low cross 10 minutes before half-time.
