While the agent service “OpenClaw,” which can control computers and mobile phones as desired using artificial intelligence (AI), is gaining popularity worldwide, domestic startups have developed a “native openclaw” service that anyone can easily use. Unlike OpenClos, which is difficult to install, it has the advantage of convenience that can be installed and executed immediately by downloading the installation file.
Wicklay announced on the 6th that it has launched its AI service “Owllo” in Korea and the United States.
Aulo is a personal AI platform that runs inside a user’s PC.
“Monitor the weather and let me know if it’s going to rain tomorrow,” and “Organize the pictures you downloaded yesterday by folder.” Just like chatting with chatbots, monitoring websites, creating images, organizing files, summarizing documents, and automating tasks, AI will handle tasks on its own.
It runs in a completely local manner, so sensitive information such as photos, chat content, and passwords is not transmitted to external servers. If the help of AI installed in the external cloud is needed to solve the problem, the actual request is made only after the user’s prior consent is obtained.
As it is powered by its own model without linking external application interface (API) such as ChatGPT or Gemini, there is no charge when using it.
In particular, unlike OpenClos, which is complicated in installation, the advantage is that it can be operated immediately by downloading the installation file from the homepage and installing it.
As long as you turn on the PC with the Oulo installed, you can direct your work through websites or messengers even when you are out, so you can use it like a personal secretary 24 hours a day.
It is also noteworthy that various AI models can be selected and used for purpose through Outlet, a library of AI models in Outlet. It can provide AI specific to objects and situations that general-purpose AI cannot bring, so you can download and use various AIs such as safe AI for your child, AI dedicated to English level testing and correction, as well as AI dedicated to fantasy novels through the outlet.
Anyone can learn AI directly by using their own data by using the separate learning tool “Owllo Teacher.” If you drag-and-drop documents, conversation records, PDFs, etc. and set the learning direction, you create your own model without coding or AI knowledge.
The model created in this way can be used for the desired purpose, such as cooking, parenting, legal review, and work automation, as well as shared with others. It is also possible to create expert AI by learning your favorite novel or web novel data to talk directly with the character in the book, or by learning specialized books in a specific field.
Wicklay, which developed the service, is a new startup founded in 2025. Engineers from Nexon Korea and Line Games belong to the group and are currently developing technologies to increase the usability of lightweight AI so that it can be used not only on PCs but also on embedded devices.
