TOWN OF TURTLE (WLUK) — A southern Wisconsin mother allegedly killed her teenage daughter to protect her from Elon Musk, according to a criminal complaint.
Tyiece Oninski is accused of stabbing 14-year-old Kuren Rein to death in a Rock County home earlier this month.
The complaint states on March 20, Oninski called the non-emergency number of the Rock County Communications Center and told dispatchers she had “murdered” her daughter the previous night, then attempted suicide.
During the approximately 13-minute call, Oninski said she killed Rein “to protect her from somebody else.” WMTV reports Oninski later admitted that person was Musk, a billionaire businessman and former senior advisor to President Donald Trump.
When dispatch asked Oninski if an ambulance should be sent to the scene, Oniknski allegedly responded, “She’s dead, honey. She needs a hearse.”
Officers who responded to the home found a knife and sheath near Rein’s body. She had suffered multiple stab wounds. Oninski had a deep cut on her neck, as well as cuts on both her wrists and her cheek. Her left foot was stained with what appeared to be blood, and a partial bloody footprint was observed inside the home.
At the hospital, Oninski’s blood tested positive for benzodiazepines, amphetamines and THC, according to the complaint. WMTV reports while Oninski was hospitalized, she “enthusiastically asked a deputy if her name was in the news and was disappointed to find out it was not.”
