Bengaluru: A night of cricketing excitement ended on a bitter note for a few fans after they lost their mobile phones. Around eight missing mobile phone cases have been reported to Cubbon Park police. A senior officer said three were found. A few persons misplaced their phones while exiting the stadium in the crowd. One phone was found near the stairs, and another near a seat.A few phones may have been stolen. According to preliminary information to police on the spot, around 12 phones may have gone missing during the opening match between RCB and SRH on Saturday. Some cases may involve pickpocketing, while others could be due to phones being misplaced or accidentally dropped in the crowd, the officer added.Five people who lost their phones reported the incident at the police station. Three others reported their missing phones directly on the e-lost portal. Police said clarity on the total number of missing phones will emerge in a couple of days. Most incidents have been reported near Gate No 3. Police are analysing CCTV footage.
