Vote for your favourite Chelsea Premier League moment at Arsenal | News | Official Site

Ahead of this weekend’s trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal, we have picked out eight of our best moments away to the Gunners in the Premier League era and want you to select your favourite.

The Blues have enjoyed plenty of highlights at Highbury and the Emirates since the Premier League’s inception in 1992.

Our shortlist does not include moments before that year – such as Kerry Dixon’s iconic goal on the opening day of the 1984/85 campaign – or European or cup exploits, like Wayne Bridge’s famous Champions League winner in 2004.

Watch the video below to help bring back these happy memories, and then pick your vote on the Chelsea Official App!

Dennis at the death | September 1996

After we had frustratingly lost an early two-goal lead at Highbury, Dennis Wise stepped up to snatch a last-minute equaliser in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Cole seals first Premier League win | December 2005

Our final visit to Highbury before its closure was a memorable one, as we secured our first Premier League victory at the stadium. Arjen Robben’s first-half goal put the Blues ahead, before a super solo effort from Joe Cole sealed a 2-0 victory on the road.

Big away win | May 2009

Our first victory at the Emirates remains our joint-biggest away league win over Arsenal: 4-1. Guus Hiddink’s Blues ran riot in north London with ex-Gunner Nicolas Anelka scoring the pick of the bunch.

Drogba at it again | November 2009

Against his favourite opponents, Didier Drogba bagged a brilliant brace in our 2009/10 title-winning campaign, including a spectacular free-kick in front of the travelling Blues.

Diego dents title push | January 2016

The 2015/16 season was far from a memorable one for the Blues, but we did at least beat Arsenal twice to damage their Premier League title aspirations. Diego Costa netted the only goal during a disciplined display in north London.

The pivotal switch | September 2016

Early in the second half of our 3-0 loss at the Emirates in September 2016, Antonio Conte introduced Marcos Alonso for Cesc Fabregas and altered our shape to 3-4-3 for the first time. It was a system change that helped the Blues claim the title that season.

Tammy time | December 2019

There wasn’t long left in this clash at the Emirates when Tammy Abraham collected Willian’s pass, spun and fired into the net to secure a second win in north London in a week and spark pandemonium in the away end and away dugout.

Reece’s rocket – August 2021

Our most recent win at the Emirates came early into the 2021/22 campaign, and included a fine team goal finished off by Reece James in emphatic fashion. The now-Blues skipper made sure to celebrate passionately in front of the home supporters!
