Hailee Steinfeld, Kate Hudson, more

And we’re off! Another awards season has officially begun, with Sunday’s Golden Globes 2026 red carpet setting a high bar for the step-and-repeats to come over the next several months.

Dozens of stars opted to wear black, white or a combination of the two — but despite their classic color palettes, these outfits were anything but boring. The neckline of Selena Gomez‘s velvet Chanel gown, for instance, was embellished with fringe-like “flowers” that took 323 hours to craft from feathers and silk. “Heated Rivalry” star Hudson Williams looked hot enough to melt ice in his two-tone Giorgio Armani look, complete with a dapper cummerbund. And who other than Teyana Taylor could pull off a rhinestone thong on one of the year’s biggest step-and-repeats?

Bringing some welcome color to the carpet were Hailee Steinfeld, who draped her baby bump in pretty peach Prada, and Tessa Thompson, resplendent in green sequined Balenciaga. Emma Stone, meanwhile, looked as cool as ever in her butter yellow Louis Vuitton crop top and matching fringed skirt.

Below, our best-dressed picks from this year’s Globes.
