Mainland uni enrolment to open


Youths planning to enrol in the Scheme for Admission of Hong Kong Students to Mainland Higher Education Institutions can apply online starting next year between March 1 and 31, the Education Bureau said today.

 

The 138 Mainland higher education institutions engaged in the scheme will accept applications from candidates sitting for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination in 2024.

 

Students should confirm their application verification results online before April 10, while those who have provided supplementary information should do so before April 23.

 

Additionally, students who have passed the application verification should pay the enrolment fee by April 30.

 

Institutions will announce admission results in late July and arrange for supplementary enrolment according to the enrolment situation.

 

The bureau encourages Hong Kong students to pursue further studies on the Mainland through the admission scheme and learn more about the country’s latest social, economic and cultural landscape.

 

It also urges young people to plan ahead for their future development.

 

The bureau added that it will continue its discussion with the Mainland concerning inviting more renowned Mainland institutions to participate in the scheme.
