陶玲接受人行旗下的《金融時報》及雜誌《中國金融》訪問時指出，隨著人民幣的國際地位及全球影響力不斷提升，人行在推進人民幣國際化方面，提出做好貿易投資便利化、深化金融市場開放、支持離岸人民幣市場發展、建立健全金融基礎設施及統籌金融開放和金融安全，五大工作範疇。

人行會滿足各類主體對人民幣交易結算、投融資、風險管理等的需求，推進貿易投資便利化；亦會深化金融市場開放，增強金融市場透明度、規則性和可預期性，提高人民幣金融資產流動性，豐富風險對沖工具。

陶玲又指，會支持離岸人民幣市場發展，健全離岸市場人民幣流動性供給機制，完善境外主權債券發行長效機制，豐富離岸人民幣金融產品，拓展內地與香港金融市場互聯互通機制，完善其他離岸人民幣市場功能。

她又指，人行會健全金融基礎設施，提升人民幣跨境支付系統（CIPS）服務能力，擴大服務範圍，提高人民幣清算結算安全性和效率；亦會推動境外人民幣市場建設，優化人民幣清算行佈局，發揮好貨幣互換機制作用。

同時，統籌金融開放和金融安全，築牢「防波堤」，加強跨境人民幣業務監管，完善跨境資金流動評估預警體系，健全本外幣一體化的跨境資金流動宏觀審慎管理框架，構建適應高水平開放的金融監管和風險防控體系。
