余偉文再度獲委任為金管局總裁 (09:40) – 20240726 – 即時財經新聞

陳茂波表示,「過去數年,香港經歷黑暴和疫情的衝擊,也面對地緣政治的挑戰。在偉文的帶領下,金管局維持貨幣市場和銀行體系的穩定,並與財經事務及庫務局、證監會、保監局、港交所等機構通力合作,共同守穩香港的金融安全。外匯基金在環球投資環境充滿不確定性下,亦取得跟投資目標相符的回報」。

「在特區政府的領導和統籌下,金管局也着力推動香港國際金融中心的發展,包括離岸人民幣樞紐的建設、金融科技的發展、『互聯互通』的促進等,以及積極加強與海內外金融監管機構的交流和合作」。

「按照特區政府的指示,金管局也積極回應民生和中小企的需要,並推進普惠金融,包括通過香港按揭證券有限公司推行中小企融資擔保計劃和公共年金等」。

「我相信偉文在未來五年多的時間會繼續帶領好金管局,為香港的金融、經濟和社會民生作出貢獻」。

財政司司長在諮詢外匯基金諮詢委員會轄下的管治委員會的意見後,決定將金管局總裁新任期開始的固定年薪定為約740萬元。固定年薪的調整會在每年四月金管局員工年度薪酬檢討時一併考慮,但以不高於之前一年的通脹率為限。

根據表現決定的浮動年薪,上限定為230萬元,該上限適用於整個五年任期,金額由財政司司長經諮詢上述管治委員會後決定。

余偉文回應指,「對於能夠繼續在這個重要的崗位服務和貢獻香港,我感到十分榮幸,亦十分感謝司長對我的信任」。

余偉文指,「過去幾年香港金融體系面對多重挑戰,例如社會騷亂、新冠疫情、複雜的地緣政治、利率高企等等。雖然如此,香港金融體系包括聯繫匯率制度和銀行體系保持非常穩定,金融業亦持續發展,國際金融中心地位得以鞏固和提升。銀行業在保持穩健經營的同時,在經濟逆境中盡力支持實體經濟,和市民共渡難關。在應對這些挑戰時,金管局同事都緊守崗位,發揮高度專業精神,展現靈活應變的能力。我想借此機會感謝團隊過去五年對我的支持,更想感謝業界和香港市民對金管局的支持和信任」。

余偉文回應指,「未來幾年,宏觀經濟環境、國際金融局勢,以及地緣政治仍然複雜多變。我和團隊會繼續保持高度警覺性,全力以赴,既要保持穩定,又要推動發展,在維持貨幣及整個金融體系穩定的同時,亦要做好金融服務和支持實體經濟的工作。國家繼續深化改革為香港帶來龐大機遇,我們會善用自身獨特的優勢,繼續致力推展與內地的互聯互通,以及提升香港作為全球離岸人民幣樞紐的角色。我們亦會把握好金融科技和綠色金融的機遇,繼續保持香港在環球金融發展的前列位置。我期望與業界共同為香港金融業創造更大的發展空間,鞏固提升香港國際金融中心地位,為國家和香港的未來發展出一分力」。
