以戰國時代日本為舞台的《刺客教條 暗影者》(Assassin’s Creed Shadows)將於 20 日發售,雙主角之一的「彌助」是曾侍奉織田信長的黑人,網傳先行試玩影片中他在神社場景破壞祭壇引日本社會關注,該話題也首次在日本國會被討論。

 

《刺客教條 暗影者》出現的神社場景原型被認為是兵庫縣姬路市的「播磨國總社 射楯兵主神社」,彌助在先行試玩影片中,以武士刀砍毀祭壇擺放的物品,儘管該影像是玩家操作所致,但不少日本網友對此不滿。

 

Ubisoft 據稱會在《刺客教條 暗影者》發售首日釋出更新檔,特別針對爭議中沒有武器的 NPC 被攻擊時「不再有流血效果」、「寺廟和神社內的桌子與擺飾無法被破壞」。

 

然而此事已延燒到日本國會。根據產經新聞報導,在日本參議院今(19)日的預算委員會上,兵庫縣選區、自由民主黨議員加田裕之質詢《刺客教條 暗影者》彌助破壞神社的遊戲影片,他指出遊戲採用未經授權內容衍生爭議。

 

「遊戲中一座以實名登場的神社內,主角武士砸毀太鼓、神鏡、祭壇,甚至攻擊疑似神職人員,還能射箭、肆意行動。然而據宮司所言,遊戲公司從未聯繫神社商討使用名稱的許可。」

 

對此,日本經濟產業省副大臣大串正樹回應,「若做商業用途時,應取得該知識財產權所有者的許可。雖然具體情況需由當事人協商,但如果神社的部分有尋求協助,政府將與相關部門合作妥善應對。」

 

 

加田議員則回會密切關注此事,再追蹤是否有未經許可使用的問題,他也進一步指出,日本社會對於「過度旅遊」(オーバーツーリズム)及觀光公害的憂慮日益加深,再提《暗影者》可能引發的問題。

 

「遊戲中無授權使用的場景被攻擊、破壞,類似的行為在現實中是否會被模仿?該神社的宮司及相關人士對此深感擔憂。當然,遊戲的表達自由應受尊重,但輕視在地文化的行為應受到約束。」加田議員質詢首相石破茂有什麼看法。

 

日本首相石破茂回應「在法律層面上,需與經產省、文部科學省、外務省等部門協商處理。」他也強調在神社塗鴉絕對不可饒恕,「無疑是對該國的侮辱」。

 

相較 2001 年日本自衛隊前往伊拉克南部薩馬沃進行人道救援時,日本政府要求士兵學習伊斯蘭教的習俗,石破首相指出:「尊重一個國家的文化與宗教是理所當然的,而對於任何不尊重的行為都該堅決抵制並不予容忍」。

 

 

加田議員則說無論有形或無形的文化,遊戲公司都要懷抱敬意,「然而這款遊戲允許玩家破壞日本的文化與設施,且(刺客教條系列的過去作品)其他國家的場景並未設置可破壞的機制,為何只有日本?這點令人存疑,也是一個問題。」

 

事實上,自《刺客教條 暗影者》發表以來,日本社會就有聲音擔憂遊戲將彌助描繪為「傳奇武士」的宣傳可能導致錯誤的日本歷史在海外擴散,該作品直到發售前因多方面爭議引熱議,原定去年 11 月 15 日發售,經過兩次延期最終在 3 月 20 日上市。

 

雖然虛擬電子遊戲的劇情有其創作自由的空間,但《刺客教條:暗影者》在試圖重現日本戰國歷史與宣傳手段所衍生的一連串風波,令 Ubisoft 在推出本作的路程罕見受到政界的注視。
