季內世華位於馬來西亞的出版業務分部盈利達102.5萬美元,按年增長1.49倍;香港及台灣的出版業務則錄得虧損240.4萬美元,按年增加1.41倍;北美的出版業務的虧損則按年減少8.62%至82.7萬美元。綜合計算整體出版業務虧損220.6萬美元,按年增加47.95%。至於旅遊業務,季內分部盈利為8.9萬美元,按年減少76.14%。

至於截至去年底9個月合計,馬來西亞的出版業務分部盈利達217.2萬美元,實現扭虧;香港及台灣的出版業務則錄得虧損523.9萬美元,按年增加27.04%;北美的出版業務的虧損則按年減少2.65%至271.8萬美元。綜合計算整體出版業務虧損578.5萬美元,按年減少21.51%。至於旅遊業務,季內分部盈利為213.7萬美元,按年增長46.87%。

該集團指,由於馬來西亞的出版業務受益於《星洲日報》舉辦的的各類活動,致營業額增加,加上減省成本措施,令第三季內溢利增長。香港及台灣分部的則受到消費變化影響,廣告市場疲軟,廣告收益減少。旅遊業務則受益於CEO系列豪華旅行團以及學生和歐洲旅行團增加。然而由於行業競爭加劇,導致定價需要甚具競爭力,加上經營成本增加,旅遊分部的稅前溢利減少。

世華預期,由於地緣政治局勢持續緊張、全球貿易關係惡化以及特朗普政府政策為全球經濟帶來不確定性,當前財政年度的剩餘季度將充滿挑戰。 然而,憑藉穩健的財務狀況,其已準備就緒應對未來挑戰,並將繼續探索新的收入機會,尤其是在旅遊分部,同時在管理成本將時刻保持警覺。
