Weekly poll: who is getting the new Oppo Find N3 Flip?

The competition in the flip foldable market is heating up – earlier this week Oppo brought the Find N3 Flip to the Indian market with sales starting on October 22 (Sunday next week). The phone will cost ₹95,000, though pre-orders include ₹12,000 cashback (which drops the price to ₹83,000) and ₹8,000 bonus when trading-in an old device.

The Indian market already has some competition, let’s take a look. We have to start with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 as the most popular foldable globally. Samsung is asking ₹86,000 for an 8/256GB unit. The Find N3 Flip has a better main display with a 6.8” LTPO 120Hz panel (FHD+ resolution) compared to 6.7” 120Hz panel on the Samsung (also FHD+). The cover displays are similar in size (3.26” for the Oppo, 3.4” for the Samsung). The Find N3 is powered by the Dimensity 9200 to power its phone, Samsung picked the bespoke Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.

Weekly poll: who is getting the new Oppo Find N3 Flip?

The Oppo certainly has the upper hand in the camera department with a 50MP main (with a larger sensor), 48MP ultrawide and even a 32MP tele camera (47mm lens). The Samsung just has two 12MP modules (wide + ultra wide). The Find N3 Flip is thicker (16.5mm closed vs. 15.1mm) and a bit heavier but compensates with a larger 4,300mAh battery with 44W wired charging (vs. 3,700mAh with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging).

Then there’s Motorola with the Moto Razr 40 (₹50,000) and Moto Razr 40 Ultra (₹90,000). The Ultra model packs a 6.9” 165Hz LTPO main display and has a 3.6” cover display (144Hz). It is powered by the older Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and a 3,800mAh battery with 30W wired and 5W wireless charging. The Oppo once again scores an easy win with its camera – the Razr 40 Ultra has a 12MP main with a tiny sensor and a 13MP ultrawide.

The vanilla Moto Razr 40 is less capable than the Ultra and the Oppo Find N3 Flip, but some might not want to spend a lot of money on a flip foldable so it’s worth a look.

Another cheap – well, cheaper – foldable is the Tecno Phantom V Flip. While they are cheap, the V Flip and the Razr 40 both have LTPO inner displays (120Hz refresh rate for the Phantom), though their cover displays are too small for full apps. Their chipsets are weaker too – a Dimensity 8050 for the Phantom and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 for the Motorola. The V Flip has a 4,000mAh battery with 40W wired only charging.

So, what do you think? Will you get the Oppo Find N3 Flip or another flip foldable? To help you decide we’re working on a detailed review.
