Ryan Reynolds Calls Blake Lively ‘Fearless’ in New Tribute After Lawsuit Settlement

Ryan Reynolds has some sweet words for Blake Lively on Mother’s Day. The Marvel actor dropped a heartfelt post for his wife on the special day amid her case settlement.

Ryan Reynolds says Blake Lively is ‘fearless’ in Mother’s Day tribute

Ryan Reynolds took to his Instagram stories to share a powerful message for Blake Lively on Mother’s Day. The Deadpool star added pictures of the couple from their cozy time together. “I appreciate this mother beyond measure,” he wrote, calling her “kind” and “fearless.” Reynolds further added, “She’s the absolute love of my life.” The 49-year-old concluded that Lively is “the life of their love” for their kids.

This post comes after Lively’s lawsuit settlement with Justin Baldoni. The It Ends with Us co-stars sorted out their case on Monday, May 4, 2026. The same day, the actress graced the red carpet of the Met Gala 2026 in an archival Versace gown. Talking about the settlement, lawyers from both parties issued a joint statement. “The end product — the movie It Ends With Us — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life,” the statement read.

They continued, “Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind.” The statement added, “We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard. We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments.”

They concluded, “It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.” Moreover, the Gossip Girl star’s attorneys called the settlement a “victory” for their client. They wrote to  Entertainment Weekly, “This settlement is a resounding victory for Blake Lively.” The statement continued, “By agreeing to this settlement, and waiving their right to appeal, Justin Baldoni and every individual defendant now face personal liability for abusing the legal system to silence and intimidate Ms. Lively.”
