Ritsu Doan wants to leave Eintracht Frankfurt

Sport Bild report that Ritsu Doan would like to leave Eintracht Frankfurt despite only joining the Eagles for €21m in the summer.

Doan, who scored two goals and provided three assists in his first five Bundesliga games for the Hessen club under Dino Toppmöller, has struggled under Albert Riera. Yet to record a goal contribution under the Spaniard, Doan – who has only played a full 90 minutes on one occasion – was an unused substitute against RB Leipzig on Matchday 30, Additionally, when the Japan international has featured, Riera ops to play Doan in a central position as opposed to his favoured role on the right flank.

Could Can Uzun also leave?

Not only that, Can Uzun is also considering leaving Frankfurt due to his difficult relationship with Riera. The Spaniard has openly criticised the youngster, emphasising: “The reason some didn’t play is that you can be great with the ball, but not good without it. With Albert, you won’t play if you’re not good enough. I’m very clear about that. I want complete players. They have to fulfil both roles.”

Uzun was reportedly ‘deeply affected’ by his coach’s comments, so much so that he may make a decision on his future. If so, per BILD, Milan is one club showing an interest.
