A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has emerged as a leading transfer target at Manchester United.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who highlight Aurélien Tchouaméni as the player in question.

France international Tchouaméni is for his part in the midst of what has been a largely impressive individual campaign to date.
After seeing his performances come in for heavy criticism amongst the Real Madrid fanbase, the former AS Monaco standout has bounced back in stellar fashion.
From his berth at the base of Los Blancos’ engine room, Tchouaméni has been a near ever-present under the watch of both Xabi Alonso, and Álvaro Arbeloa.
And his all-action performances along the way have evidently not gone unnoticed in England…

Specifically, Manchester United are understood to have had their heads turned by Tchouaméni’s exploits.
As per a report from The Telegraph:
‘Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouaméni features prominently on Manchester United’s shortlist of candidates to replace Casemiro as they seek a new top-class No 6 this summer.’
The board at the Bernabéu, for their part, are understood to have little interest in parting with Tchouaméni over the coming months.
