The circumstances of his death are currently unclear.

The local election in a ward of Bury has been cancelled after the death of a Reform UK candidate. Victor Hagan was due to stand in his local area in Moorside on Thursday May 7, but has suddenly passed away.
The circumstances of his death are currently unknown.
Bury Council has confirmed the Moorside election will be rescheduled. Under local authority rules, the new date will need to be fixed within 35 days of the planned elections, meaning it will take place before June 11. Residents affected will be informed of the new date by post.

All other wards are unaffected, and the May 7 election will proceed as normal across the rest of the borough.
Lynne Ridsdale, Returning Officer for Bury, said: “We are shocked and saddened by the death of Mr Hagan who has been a foster carer, alongside his wife, in the borough for many years, and extend our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.”
Candidate nominations will re-open for a set period once the new date is announced. All other previous candidates remain validly nominated and will be included on the ballot paper.
