These included Rüdiger making a throat-slitting gesture towards Atlético Madrid fans, Vinicius addressing the home crowd on multiple occasions, Mbappé seemingly touching his genitals in front of the Atlético supporters, and Ceballos giving the middle finger.
According to Rubén Uría, Atlético Madrid sent all these images to UEFA, requesting an investigation into the alleged misconduct of the Real Madrid players.
The European governing body responded yesterday, confirming the launch of an investigation into the events at the Metropolitano stadium.
“A UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector has been appointed to conduct an investigation regarding allegations of indecent conduct by Real Madrid CF players (Antonio Rüdiger, Kylian Mbappé, Daniel Ceballos Fernández and Vinícius Júnior) during the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match between Club Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid CF played on 12 March 2025. Further information regarding this matter will be made available in due course,” UEFA stated in a release.

Potential sanctions for Real Madrid players
