The Boys in the Boat Streaming Release Date Rumors

The Boys in the Boat streaming release date is highly anticipated, and viewers are wondering when they can start streaming the film.

George Clooney co-produced and directed the film from a screenplay by Mark L. Smith. It is an adaptation of the 2013 namesake non-fiction book by Daniel James Brown.

Here’s when The Boys in the Boat could be coming out.

When is the predicted The Boys in the Boat streaming release date?

The Boys in the Boat release date could be sometime between January and April 2024.

Amazon MGM Studios has the US distribution rights to the film, and they will reportedly release it in theaters on December 25, 2023. Presuming that The Boys in the Boat will not be simultaneously released on any streaming services and that Amazon wishes to give it a fair chance in theaters, it can be speculated that the film will start streaming sometime between January and April 2024.

The Boys in the Boat tells the incredible true story of the working-class student-athletes from the University of Washington who go on to take part in the men’s rowing team at the 1936 Summer Olympic games in Berlin, representing the United States of America.

The cast includes Callum Turner as Joe Rantz, Courtney Henggeler as Hazel Ulbrickson, James Wolk as Thomas Bolles, and Joel Edgerton as Al Ulbrickson. Some of the other members of the cast are Jack Mulhern, Sam Strike, Alec Newman, Peter Guinness, Luke Slattery, Thomas Elms, Tom Varey, Bruce Herbelin-Earle, Wil Coban, Hadley Robinson, and Chris Diamantopoulos, among others.

Is The Boys in the Boat coming out on Amazon Prime Video or MGM Plus?

The Boys in the Boat could be available to watch via streaming on Amazon Prime Video or MGM Plus.

As Amazon MGM Studios has the distribution rights to The Boys in the Boat in the US, the film will likely stream on either or both of those above-mentioned platforms. ComingSoon will provide updates when the streaming release date and platform are officially announced.

Current Amazon Prime Video or MGM Plus subscribers will probably be able to watch the film when it airs. Viewers can subscribe to an Amazon Prime membership for $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Alternatively, they can opt for a standalone Prime Video membership, which costs $8.99 per month. MGM Plus subscription plan reportedly costs $5.99 per month and $39.99 per year.

The official synopsis for Boys in the Boat reads:

“The triumphant underdog story of the University of Washington men’s rowing team, who stunned the world by winning gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.”
