Official: Real Madrid starting lineup to face Osasuna | Carvajal starts

Real Madrid will have the opportunity to momentarily extend their lead at the top of the La Liga table to five points as they take on Osasuna this evening.

The Spanish giants have been in sensational form in La Liga under new coach Alvaro Arbeloa, who is closing in on a club record of most league wins to kickstart a Real Madrid managerial term.

Heading into this game, Arbeloa has confirmed his playing eleven, which features a few changes from the side that secured a narrow win over Benfica in midweek.

The biggest news is Dani Carvajal, who makes a welcome start after struggling with fitness woes even after returning to training.

Carvajal replaces Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back. Arbeloa has also given David Alaba an opportunity to prove himself, with the Austrian replacing the injured Dean Huijsen.

However, the rest of the squad remains unchanged, with Federico Valverde and Arda Guler starring in midfield alongside Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.

The Real Madrid frontline will be led by the familiar front two of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.
