Viewers are curious to know whether Paramount+ has canceled or renewed School Spirits for Season 4. Created by Megan and Nate Trinrud, the supernatural teen drama series follows Maddie, who investigates her own disappearance during her time in the afterlife.
With no way to return, she settles into her new reality and begins solving crimes. As her investigation intensifies, she uncovers both truths and lies. With Season 3 having concluded recently, many are eager to know if another installment is in store.
Is School Spirits canceled or renewed for Season 4?
Paramount+ has neither renewed nor canceled School Spirits Season 4. There are chances that it could get another season.
Typically, the series renewal depends on various factors, including completion rate, financial viability, rating, audience reception, and viewership. If these desired expectations are met, the chances of renewal increase.
In the case of the latest season of School Spirits, it performed exceptionally well in terms of viewership. According to CBR, the series was ranked 2nd in the U.S. Top 10 on Amazon channels on February 20.
This probably is a good sign for makers if they’re thinking of renewing it for another outing. Moreover, it also remains to be seen if this Paramount+ show remains consistent in viewership throughout the end of the series or sees a drop.
Previously, the network announced that Season 3 was happening, two weeks after the Season 2 finale. If a similar strategy is followed, then the upcoming weeks will ultimately decide the series’ fate. The last two seasons dropped back-to-back each year; keeping that in consideration, Season 4, if it happens, could then come out next year.
In an earlier conversation with Swoon, creator Megan Trinrud shared that there’s still more to explore in Wally and Maddie’s relationship, which could be possible if Season 4 happens. “It’s going to be interesting to see what the challenges are that they would have to overcome, if they can overcome them, or if it is a thing where, sometimes, you don’t get to say a proper goodbye and say, ‘This is it. It was beautiful, and I love you, but it’s over. Sometimes things just happen, and you can’t control them,” she explained.
