Donald Trump warns Iran will ‘be laughing no longer’, condemns regime’s behavior

US President Donald Trump wrote that while Iran has been playing games and laughing at the US for 47 years, “they will be laughing no longer,” he wrote on Truth Social on Sunday.

Trump accused Iran of “keeping us waiting, killing our people with roadside bombs, destroying protests, and recently wiping out 42,000 innocent unarmed protestors,” referencing the crackdown the Islamic Regime conducted on popular protests in December and January

Trump also blamed his predecessors, presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, for enabling Iran, saying that Obama was “not only good to [Iran], he was great, actually going to their side, jettisoning Israel and all other Allies.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a talk with Trump on Sunday night, a source familiar with the details told The Jerusalem Post.

Trump then alleged that Obama delivered $1.7 billion in cash to Tehran in addition to hundreds of billions more in other assets or deals.

The White House has yet to announce a response to Iran’s statement.
