Former Masters and US Open champion Angel Cabrera has officially been brought back onto the PGA Tour and the PGA’s Champions Tour after serving prison time for gender violence.

According to Golf Digest, Cabrera was notified in a letter by the tour’s senior vice president Andy Levinson that his suspension from the tours had been lifted.

‘Failure to comply with the terms of your release from prison or any additional information regarding your legal situation in Argentina may result in the immediate reinstatement of your suspension,’ Levinson wrote.

Cabrera had been suspended by the tour after he was convicted of assaulting, threatening, and harassing his former partner Cecilia Torres Mana.

He was arrested in Rio de Janeiro after Interpol sent out a ‘red notice’ to local authorities that he left Argentina without authorization.

‘Red notice’ warnings are sent out to find or arrest a person wanted by a legal jurisdiction or an international tribunal with a view to extradition.

Cabrera was arrested in Brazil in January of 2021 and extradited to Argentina in June of 2021.

A month later, he was sentenced to two years in prison for assault, theft, and illegal intimidation. The charges were initially brought forth by Torres Mana but she was joined by his ex-wife, Silva Rivadero, and another former romantic partner Micaela Escudero. He was sentenced to two years in prison.

In November of 2022, Cabrera was convicted of another assault and sentenced to an additional two years and four months in prison.

But just this past August, after serving all of his first sentence and only part of his second sentence, Cabrera was released.

He competed in a golf tournament in Argentina over the weekend – his first professional action in years.

Cabrera is widely considered to be the best golfer in Argentina’s history – winning the 2007 US Open at Oakmont and the 2009 Masters.

He also finished runner-up at the 2013 Masters where he lost in a playoff to Adam Scott.

If Alphabet Does This on Oct. 28, the Stock Could Skyrocket

Like many big tech companies, Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL) has had a lackluster year. It’s only up about 7% for the year, but that figure was over 25% at the start of May. Alphabet has slowly sold off and is now losing to the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC). However, I think that could be
