Video: Hong Kong Has A Train That Turns 4-Min Journey Into An Underwater Adventure

Ever thought about what it feels like to travel beneath the sea? At Ocean Park Hong Kong, travellers can experience something similar aboard the Ocean Express, a submarine-themed train that takes them through a 1.3-kilometre tunnel in just four minutes. Scroll down to learn more.

Inside Hong Kong’s Underwater Ocean Express Train

Connecting the Waterfront and the Summit areas of the theme park, the Ocean Express transforms a simple ride between two attractions into an underwater adventure. As the train moves through the tunnel, underwater visuals and images of marine life create the impression of travelling through the ocean in a submarine. Part of Ocean Park Hong Kong, the tourist attraction combines themed experiences with transport, allowing guests to move between different sections of the park while enjoying an immersive journey. The train can carry up to 5,000 passengers per hour, making it an important part of the park’s visitor experience.

The Ocean Express is designed to resemble a submarine journey, with themed interiors and underwater scenes that make the four-minute ride more than just a way to get around. It connects the Ocean Express Waterfront Station with the Summit station, giving visitors access to attractions spread across the park.

Ocean Park Hong Kong’s listed operating hours are 10 am to 6:30 pm, although schedules may vary depending on the date and individual attractions. Tourists should check the official website before planning their trip.
