資料顯示，金銀島名勝世界酒店原為已除牌的雲頂香港（前上市編號0678）有份投資，並定名名勝世界酒店。但是幾經拖延未能成事，雲頂香港最終在2021年初以7.5億元將澳門項目的50%權益出售，並易名為金銀島名勝世界。再事隔一年多，雲頂再於澳門以GMM名義參與公開競投賭牌，為第七間競投者，但是最終無緣入局。
金銀島名勝世界酒店目前位於澳門半島南灣湖畔，並位處澳門博彩（0880）旗下葡京酒店及永利澳門（1128）旗下永利澳門渡假村附近。
