British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei Appoints Vicki Wu as Chief Executive Officer

The British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (BCCT) is pleased to announce the promotion of Vicki Wu from Executive Director to Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Vicki Wu has served as Executive Director of BCCT with distinction, playing a pivotal role in strengthening the Chamber’s operations, financial discipline, member engagement, and strategic positioning. Under her leadership, BCCT has maintained operational stability while expanding the quality and impact of its flagship events, policy engagement, and member services.

The Board unanimously approved the promotion in recognition of Vicki’s leadership, professionalism, and deep commitment to the Chamber’s mission and community.

“Under Vicki’s leadership, the Chamber has achieved record results across our flagship activities,” said Samuel Yang, Chairman of BCCT and CEO of TutorABC. “We have seen the highest-ever attendance, sponsorship participation, and charitable contributions across key events including the Better Business Awards, the St Andrew’s Ball, the Christmas Charity Auction, and our Women in Business programmes. These outcomes reflect not only strong execution, but Vicki’s ability to bring people together, build trust, and deliver real impact for our members and the wider community.”

Vicki Wu has also been instrumental in advancing a key strategic priority shared by the BCCT Board and the British Office Taipei: “combining all things British in Taiwan.” This includes closer collaboration across business, trade, education, culture, UK university alumni networks, and the wider UK professional community. This helps to ensure that British organisations in Taiwan operate with greater coordination and stronger collective influence.

“Vicki is a trusted and highly effective partner, and someone I genuinely enjoy working with,” said Ruth Bradley-Jones, British Representative to Taiwan. “Her leadership has made a real difference within the British community in Taiwan, and in how we engage with local partners, government, and business.”

As Chief Executive Officer, Vicki Wu will continue to oversee day-to-day operations while working closely with the Board and the British Office to advance strategic priorities, deepen UK–Taiwan engagement, and deliver greater value to members and partners.

“It is an honour to take on the role of CEO,” said Vicki Wu. “I am grateful for the trust of the Board and for the close partnership with the British Office. I look forward to continuing to serve our members and contributing to a strong, united, and forward-looking British community in Taiwan.”

The British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei remains committed to promoting bilateral trade, investment, and collaboration between the United Kingdom and Taiwan, and looks forward to the next chapter under Vicki Wu’s continued leadership.
