Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will be unveiled on October 27, rumor says

Qualcomm is going to present its latest and greatest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, earlier this year than in previous years. Its annual Hawaii event is taking place in 2023 between October 24 and October 26.

A new rumor out of China claims Xiaomi definitely wants to be the first phone maker to announce new devices using the new chipset, and to ensure it’s the first, it will do so on October 27, the day after Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit ends. This announcement will be of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro flagship smartphones, the successors to the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, which were made official in December 2022.

The Xiaomi 14 devices will allegedly arrive with a new design, Leica-tuned cameras with three different focal lengths, and they will ship with MIUI 15 based on Android 14. The Pro will have a titanium frame and satellite connectivity, if rumors are to be believed. Both models have already been certified for sale in China by the relevant authorities, and we can also expect upgrades in terms of screen, camera capabilities, fast charging, battery capacity, and vibration motor. The duo’s mass production has apparently started already.
