An HBO Max streaming release date for Wuthering Heights has been announced.
Warner Bros. Pictures released in United States theaters this past February. Written, directed, and produced by Emerald Fennell, the movie serves as a loose adaptation of the iconic 1847 novel written by Emily Brontë. It stars Margot Robbie as Catherine “Cathy” Earnshaw, Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, and Hong Chau as Nelly Dean, among others.
When will Wuthering Heights be available to stream on HBO Max?
Warner Bros. Discovery has now announced that Wuthering Heights will be available to stream on HBO Max on Friday, May 1. The movie will also debut on HBO linear on Saturday, May 2, at 8 p.m. ET.
Additionally, a version of Wuthering Heights with American Sign Language (ASL0 will stream exclusively on HBO Max on the same day. Directed by Justin Jackson, it is performed by ASL dubbers Leila Hanaumi and Giovanni Maucere.

The synopsis for the film reads, “A bold and original imagining of one of the greatest love stories of all time, Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, whose forbidden passion for one another turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love, and madness.”
In addition to Robbie, Elordi, and Chau, Wuthering Heights stars Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton, Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton, Martin Clunes as Mr. Earnshaw, Ewan Mitchell as Joseph, Charlotte Mellington as young Cathy, and Owen Cooper as young Heathcliff. Josey McNamara and Robbie serve as producers alongside Fennell, while Tom Ackerley and Sara Desmond serve as executive producers.
Wuthering Heights was a big hit at the box office, as it made approximately $241.3 million worldwide. It is currently the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2026, following The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Pegasus 3, Project Hail Mary, and Hoppers.
