Royal Rumble is right around the corner, and WWE fans are buzzing as rumors swirl about familiar faces appearing back on TV. The 2026 edition already feels significant, especially with the event heading to Saudi Arabia for the first time. Reports suggest several big-name stars will be present during Royal Rumble week, fueling speculation that surprise returns could impact one of WWE’s biggest nights.
Will Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and others appear on Royal Rumble?
The Royal Rumble takes place on Jan. 31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first time the country hosts one of WWE’s “Big Five” premium live events. So far, WWE has confirmed only the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches. However, backstage reports indicate that several absent stars are expected to travel for Royal Rumble week, prompting fans to speculate about potential returns.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, names such as Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and Tiffany Stratton are expected to be in Saudi Arabia around that time. While no in-ring appearances have been officially confirmed, WWE has a history of using major events for surprise moments when talent is already present.
Brock Lesnar’s potential return has generated the most discussion, while Randy Orton has also sparked interest. Orton has been off television since October and was last seen in a SmackDown tag match alongside Cody Rhodes. Additionally, Sean Ross Sapp reports that Jacob Fatu could be present during Royal Rumble week. Fatu has been sidelined since October with a dental injury but is reportedly healthy enough to attend the event.
On the women’s side, Tiffany Stratton is expected to be in town following her break. She took a gap after losing the WWE Women’s Championship to Jade Cargill. Dominik Mysterio is also rumored to be present. His shoulder injury did not require surgery and may heal sooner than initially expected. Chad Gable is another name associated with a possible return as he continues his recovery. Current plans indicate that Ludwig Kaiser will continue with the El Grande Americano gimmick.
