What Time Does Watson Season 1 Release on CBS?

With Watson Season 1 currently gearing up for release on CBS, fans have been wondering about its release date and time. They also wish to learn the release schedule for all the episodes of the inaugural installment. This medical mystery drama series is helmed by Craig Sweeny, who is known for his work in on Elementary, Limitless, and Star Trek: Discovery.

Here are all the details viewers need to know about when Watson Season 1 comes out on CBS.

When does Watson Season 1 come out on CBS?

The Watson Season 1 release date is Sunday, January 26, 2025. As for the release time, the debut season will premiere at 10 PM Eastern Time (ET) after the AFC Championship Game concludes.

Here are the the release times for other time zones across the US and UK:

  • Pacific Time (PT) – 7 PM
  • Central Time (CT) – 9 PM
  • Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) – 3:00 AM

Originally, the entire show was set to occupy the 10 PM slot on Sundays, but the remaining episodes have now been moved to 9 PM ET, which will be reflected from the second episode onwards.

Watson Season 1 release schedule explained

After Watson Season 1 Episode 1 premieres on January 26, 2025, the second episode will not be released for three weeks until February 16, 2025.

This is because February 2 will be occupied by The Grammy Awards. The event will stream for three hours between 8 PM to 11:30 PM ET / 5 PM – 8:30 PM PT. Following this, the Super Bowl would take place on February 9. It is possible that CBS did not want the highly-watched event to overshadow Watson.

From February 16 onwards, new episodes of Watson Season 1 will be released every Sunday at 9 PM ET. Below are the timings for other time zones:

  • Pacific Time (PT) – 6 PM
  • Central Time (CT) – 8 PM
  • Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) – 2 AM

The series takes place one year after Sherlock Holmes’ death at Jim Moriarty’s hands. Dr. John Watson (Morris Chestnut), Holmes’ former partner, resumes his medical career and establishes a clinic treating rare disorders. However, he soon finds himself stepping back into his old life after a new mystery connected to it reaches his doorstep.
