The vivo S20 series is on its way, and today, we saw the phones for the first time. The design of the vivo S20 and vivo S20 Pro was revealed by Jia Jingdong, VP at vivo and GM of Brand and Product Strategy for all phones in China.
The design language of the cameras is similar to the vivo S19 lineup, but here we can see the S20 Pro is going for a periscope lens for its telephoto camera. It will run on Dimensity 9300+, and both devices will have a BOE Q10 OLED screen.
The phone was showcased by Qinwen Zheng, a Chinese tennis player and gold medalist from the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The devices in her hands are shown in their hero colors, which, according to Jia, were made to mimic the “texture of gold silk and phoenix feathers.”
The images also reveal that while the Pro has three cameras, the vanilla S20 will stick to two. The good thing is both will have the Aura Light ring LED for good portrait shots.
The S20 series is exclusive for China, but vivo often relaunches the devices as the V lineup internationally. This said, looking at these phones, we know what to expect from the vivo V50.
