Since the start of January 2025, more than four hundred and twenty measles cases have been recorded across England, with London emerging as the most heavily affected region. The capital accounts for nearly half of all cases in the past four weeks. The North West and the West Midlands have also seen notable upticks in transmission. While the majority of cases have occurred in unvaccinated young children, infections have also been confirmed among teenagers and adults.
