Ulefone unveils Armor 30 Pro with dual display, two X32 phones

Ulefone announced its new Armor 30 Pro phone as the world’s first dual-screen rugged phone. It comes with a fully featured 3.4″ LCD on the back that mirrors what is on the main screen and acts as a camera display for videos, selfies, and live streaming on social media.

The company also introduced Armor X32 and Armor X32 Pro, two phones with modest specs that don’t yet have a price tag.

At the front the Armor 30 Pro has a 6.95″ LCD with Full HD+ resolution, up to 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 700 nits peak brightness. The rear screen refreshes at 60 Hz and goes up to 600 nits. Both panels are protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Ulefone pointed out that only one screen can be operated at a time. There are several display modes, but even in dual-screen mirroring, only one of them responds to touches, while the other only mirrors its content.

The phone comes with a Dimensity 7300X chipset, which is the 7300 version for dual-screen phones. It is coupled with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, expandable up to 2 TB with a microSD card in a dedicated slot.

There are three cameras on the back — a 50 MP main camera with an OV50H sensor, 7P lens and f/1.95 aperture, a 50 MP ultrawide camera with a Samsung JN1 sensor, and a 64 MP with OmniVision OV64B shooter that Ulefone calls Night Vision.

The last one works together with four dedicated infra-red LED blasters and NightElf 3.0 software technology to provide detailed images in low-lit environments. Its goal is to notice objects in the dark that are usually missed in classic Night Mode photos, such as wildlife animals or home intruders.

All three cameras are lined up around a massive 118 dB loudspeaker. It is 28 mm in diameter, has a powerful 9cc sound chamber and offers powerful 4W sound. It also has RGB light that can pulse in different colors depending on what is happening with the phone—whether it is an incoming call, notification, or charging.

The Armor 30 Pro has IP68 certification for water and dust protection and MIL-STD for drops. It is designed to work in dusty and challenging environments, such as construction sites or mines.

The battery is also a key selling point with its 12,800 mAh capacity, which can provide 690 hours of standby time (almost a whole month). Ulefone offers 66W wired charging and 10W reverse charging, making the Armor 30 Pro an emergency power bank.

Sadly, the phone comes with Android 14. Notable features include a 3.5 mm audio jack, NFC, dual-SIM slot, and a custom key that can be programmed for three different apps, depending on how it’s pressed.

The phone also comes with the uSmart connector on the side, which lets you attach accessories such as microscopes and endoscopes that the company sells separately.

Armor X32 & X32 Pro

These two phones share the same footprint and basic 5.56″ LCD with 90 Hz refresh rate and 720p resolution. A 16 MP selfie camera is sitting in the bezel above the display.

The main camera is different, though – 64 MP main on the Pro and 48 MP on the vanilla. 25 MP Night Vision, 2 IR blasters and 2 MP macro modules complete the setup.

Ulefone equipped the Armor X32 Pro with a Dimensity 6300 chipset, while the X32 comes with an LTE-only Helio G91, suggesting that these phones are likely targeted for different markets. The Pro also has 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, while the regular X32 brings just 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

The X32 duo shares a 5,500 mAh battery with 18W charging, dual nano SIM cards, and a dedicated microSD slot. It also offers a 3.5 mm audio jack, NFC, and Android 14.
