WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker recently opened up about a WrestleMania match he regrets. A decade ago, at WrestleMania 30, Brock Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s legendary streak, shocking fans in the stadium and worldwide.
For years, The Undertaker dominated WrestleMania, where he built an unmatched legacy. Competing against The Deadman at WrestleMania has always been a dream for WWE superstars. Over the years, he delivered several impressive performances against Triple H, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Mark Henry, and more at WrestleMania.
The Undertaker headlined WrestleMania several times and concluded his career in 2020 with a cinematic match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. He defeated Styles, maintaining his WrestleMania record at 25-2.
While this remarkable record seems unlikely to be broken anytime soon, the WWE Hall of Famer recently admitted that one WrestleMania match still bothers him. He revealed that he wished he had not competed in that particular match.
The WWE WrestleMania match The Undertaker believes he should have avoided
On the Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway podcast, The Undertaker discussed his WrestleMania 33 match against Roman Reigns. He reflected on the experience, expressing regret over his performance. The WWE Hall of Famer mentioned that his physical condition at the time hindered his ability.
He stated, “The mess still bothers me. Not that I lost, but just I stayed a little long. I didn’t have enough for him that I liked to have given him. At that point, body was shutting down and, yeah, I shouldn’t have been in that match.”
At WWE WrestleMania 33, The Undertaker suffered his second loss, falling to Roman Reigns. After the match, he left his iconic jacket, cap, and gloves in the ring, which led many to believe he was retiring from the sport. However, the following year at WrestleMania 34, the WWE Hall of Famer made a surprise return, defeating John Cena in a dominant squash match.
