The Honor X70 to have a massive 8,300mAh battery with 80W charging

Late last year, Honor teased a massive 6,600mAh battery for the X60. As impressive as that was, the upcoming Honor X70 will have a battery that dwarfs this capacity – battery tech is improving at a spectacular pace!

Live photos of the X70 have been shared by leakster Experience More, including one that shows the About screen. It shows a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage with MagicOS 9 out of the box. The display has 1,200 x 2,640px resolution and was previously reported as a 6.79” OLED.

The battery capacity is jaw-dropping at 8,300mAh. Honor is still using the “Qinghai Lake” branding. Per the previous leak, the X70 will support 80W wired charging. Another leakster, Panda is very bald, claims that wireless charging will be available only on the version with 512GB storage and will work at 80W.

The other image shows the back of the Honor X70 (model number MTN-AN00). The phone reportedly measures only 7.7mm – quite an engineering feat given the battery size – and weighs 193g. Note that the version with wireless charging has a bit of extra bulk at 7.9mm thick and 199g weight.

The circular camera island is home to a 50MP camera with OIS, while the selfie camera is said to have an 8MP sensor. The white model is pictured here, but the phone will also be available in blue, black and red.

The Honor X70i launched back in April, however, the X70 launch time frame is still to be announced. The X60 series also featured Pro and GT models, but we haven’t heard anything about similar models in the X70 series. Not yet, anyway.
